Shout out to my hookers...

How happy was I to find out people from Crochetville are reading this blog! Maybe that will inspire me to actually get with it and begin to post regularly. Go visit Tammy.

Anyhow, Cupcake. The only thing I am going to say about Cupcake is do NOT make it with Patons Grace like I did. It was a bad idea. I am currently deciding whether or not to use Brown Sheep Cotton Fleece, TLC Cotton Plus (which I cannot find anywhere around here) or something else....maybe Filatura Lanarota (if I'm feeling expensive)? We'll see how the second round of Cupcake goes.

Last night I finished the Fat Bottom Bag from Happy Hooker, pictured above. I used the suggested Lion Cotton in Seaspray and did not add a flower. The color is way off...probably because it is a covert picture taken in my office at work! The angle is sort of bad, too...my bottom is WAAAAAAAY bigger in person! :) (Yeah, my desk is messy, BACK OFF.)

I have to say I like Lion Cotton...it's probably one of their better yarns, but this is coming from someone who (and I know this is like fiber treason to some folks) hates Homespun. Lion Cotton has a good feel to it; I prefer it over Sugar n' Cream or Peaches.

In other non-crochet developments, Steve's kitchen has come a long way. Lots of tile, appliances, lights and trips to the holy trinity of man stores (Lowe's, Home Depot and Menard's) later, it is starting to look like a kitchen. He's happy, I'm happy and Zora seems happy (even though she usually is).

That's it for now. I'm just going to continue living the dream and try not to fall asleep at my overly exciting and scintillating job.

Shouting out right back at you!! Thanks for the plug for my blog. =)
Your bag looks great and I do hope you were able to keep your eyes open at work. Perhaps painting the eyelids to resemble open eyes will get you a few zzzzzz's? lol
